A moderate Republican, who may at one time have been won over by the Obamacare enactment, has joined the growing chorus of moderate discontent against president Obama.
Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) believes Obama’s refusal to negotiate with Republicans on the budget is the main reason for the government shutdown. Obama and the Democrats think they can blame everything on Republicans, to get back into the good graces of Americans who don’t appear to think for themselves.
The government shutdown has not only been caused by president Obama and the Democrats, it has been engineered.
Obama Wants My Way Or The Highway
Sen. Hatch told Newsmax TV, that in his 37-year career in government service, he had never seen anything like what the president has caused. “Republicans think there’s lots of room for consensus, but you’ve got to get Democrats to talk to you. We haven’t had the president engaged, he’s the only president in my 37-years in the Congress who just hasn’t engaged, and he wants his way above all things,” Senator Hatch said.
Senator Hatch, the most senior Republican in the Senate and ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, confirmed that Republicans have offered any number of concessions to gain a budget deal. Not one of those concessions was debated or even considered by Democrats. The list of proposed concessions includes the proposal to delay Obamacare for a year, as the president has already done with the employer mandate.
In the interview, Senator Hatch said, “Presidents should work with Congress to stop fiscal impasses like this. Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton all negotiated over raising the debt ceiling, and ultimately included budget reforms. President Clinton and then Speaker Gingrich negotiated over the last government shutdown back in 1996. This president is unwilling to do it; the Democrats are unwilling to do it. They said take their position or leave and they’ve basically wanted this shutdown so they can blame Republicans for it.”
The frustration may eventually pull moderate senators on the Democratic side into the national outrage, because many of them are up for re-election next November.

NFL Blackout For Troops, But Cartoons Remain
Obama and his minions arranged the closures of the WWII monument in Washington, the Normandy cemeteries in France and now there is an NFL blackout for troops overseas.
Deployed U.S. troops may be being paid, but they are to be blacked out of all NFL football games during the government shutdown.
The Facebook page of The American Forces Network says they will not broadcast Major League Baseball playoff games or this weekend’s NFL games during the government shutdown.
They wrote, “We determined we do not have a sound policy or legal basis to air the sports channels at this time because it is not deemed critical to military operations and activities. In essence, we think we should walk a careful line on not providing any programs beyond the news/information realm, which can be clearly tied to direct support of force protection, situational awareness and readiness.”
While sports have been removed, the highly essential cartoon network is still showing on AFN.
Naturally reaction was swift and furious.
Our military are being treated like first-graders to reinforce how the “bad republicans” are solely to blame for the government shutdown, but petulant headmaster Obama isn’t fooling anyone.
