America’s Freedoms Fading Into Dusty Trails

In this age self absorption our society is making decisions that will affect this and future generations of Americans. The government of America now looks at freedom as a luxury and not a necessity.

We in this the land of the free and brave have also evidently cast our vote with the present administration to lose some freedoms that we might more abundantly enjoy union with those other nations who have not the freedoms of America.

Sorry folks but there are many nations who have greater freedoms than this the United States of America. Among them are such nations as Denmark, Australia and New Zealand. In a recent poll it was displayed that 10 nations of the world live with fewer laws and government controls than the United States of America, once the freedom capital of the world.

To know what freedoms we have lost one must know the Constitution of the United States of America. If a person would just read the constitution they would see how our freedoms are fading into the dusty trail, where liberty marched, to pay for our freedoms.

Freedom is a gift not a special birthright. Those who think freedom is an entitlement are not worthy of the title of an American.

We struggle in this nation with our avarice desires that out weights our understanding of our freedoms. “A nation of the people, by the people and for the people,” doesn’t mean some work and others live off the taxes’ paid by the workers. A former ruler of Russia, Nikita Khrushev returned home to Russia after visiting the United States.

He told his cabinet, a nation which worships Disney Land and their history of roots are embedded in slavery, can only fail because they will do anything to sooth their conscience of those who are descendants of slavery. This followed his analogy why America could be taken over from within its own ranks and not by force from without.

What is happening now in America? This nation is throwing away its freedoms for the pleasure of the moment or day or however long the drug or alcohol last. We have become slaves to our government because of entitlements or handouts from the social arm of our nation. We are turning ourselves into slavery. We have become Slaves to our habits of drugs, alcohol, the dole (hand outs) and whatever we think is free.

Political correctness is dominating in our society and freedom of speech is under attack. People are being condemned for a remark made years before there was political correctness. What happens when everyone is afraid to say anything for fear of reprisals?

Religious freedoms are being betrayed. A good citizen and a person with religious convictions should not be made to feel betrayed by his government by using tax dollars for abortions. Life is sacred and child birth is sanctified by God for only women to give birth.

No government should ever demand a religious person to participate in a law or event that is contrary to his religious beliefs and duty as a disciple of Christ’s. Have we forgotten who we are, a Christian nation.

Parental controls to raise their families are being destroyed. How can a government of freedom allow teenage girls to have abortions without consent of parents? How can a wife get an abortion without consent from her husband?

Government regulation of every type is controlling our lives. Education, health care, welfare, racial dissensions, the 2nd Amendment, judicial powers, search and seizure, the right to privacy, taxes on small business and the right to raise children according to how parents see fit.

The future seems to lead us to a society of frightened people, afraid to speak and resist tyranny by standing up and being accountable.

When freedoms are gone then what? Ever think about how just the right to refuse health care or tell a doctor to forget I want a second opinion, could affect your government health care? Our children in government schools are under attack from a society who wants us to become servants of the government. School books are so one sided about socialism and this is hard to believe.

Please sit down and make a list of the freedoms you really want to lose. If you can’t think then realize freedom is not free but you must wake up and see the government and what is happening around you every day.

What freedoms are you willing to give away? Me and my house hold desire not to lose any freedoms.
