I see and hear on Television and radio the discussions about drug use, child abuse, marriage or partner’s abuse, killings of police officers, rape, donations to ISIS by Americans and the epidemic of crime across the spectrum of this nation’s civilization or I should I use the word population because these actions are not of a civil people…
Something has happened to common good sense and people have lost the grip on civil integrity. A nation of free people must respect the integrity of what it takes to be a free people. Freedom doesn’t mean anything goes but it means we live and act within the guidelines of true civil integrity. Civil integrity is knowing what is right from wrong and living and acting within the guidelines of right over wrong.
I see men and women constantly break what they consider small rules. They run stop signs, red lights; take money they never earned and walk away thinking they are good citizens and believe they are a good example to their children. Where does it start? In the home and we are killing the basic unit of this nation’s civility.
What was learned 50 years ago in the home is now gone. Did my father ever spank me? Yes but he never left scars and he always let me know he loved me in spite of my errors. Was I afraid of my father? No but I certainly did respect him and listen when he said NO.
When a nation has forgotten right from wrong and jumps into the fight for freedom they have lost the basic purpose of integrity. No man can be free when they break the trust of those around them by blatantly disrespecting the rules of civility.
How much child abuse goes on in this nation? More than anyone really wants to know. Is it government’s job to police the home? Is it the NFL, MBL, NBA and other organizations’ jobs to set standards for men to live with and observe? What is happening in America? Are we falling apart?
We have forgotten the fundamentals of liberty, the ways to remain free and how to live to continue our freedom. It is RESPECT of Others which is also Respect of God, Nation, Country and the Respect of the LAWS of a Civil Nation.
The opposite of good is bad and we are becoming worse not better.
The opposite of Love is not Hate but indifference.
People are becoming indifferent to civil obedience. We have for the most part crossed the line into a nation of disrespect of the rights and freedom this nation allows.
If we don’t respect our freedoms, if we don’t live with respect of others and the rules of stability to guide a civil people, then we have and will continue to degrade our nation’s integrity into a state of shame.
It is time to wake up America and smell the dirt we are living in every day. Change before it is too late to change. Parents must start by living with integrity to civil rules.
Even little slips make big differences to a child’s understanding. They think … if Mom or Dad don’t do it, why should I do it? Parents are Examples to children and the children learn well from the master’s hand.
If you want your Legacy to be Honorable then be Honorable yourself.
