The national debt is over $19 trillion and is expected to surpass $23 trillion by 2021. Will Washington ever learn exactly how to control spending, or will they attempt to raise taxes? The national debt seemed to start leveling off around 2003 then towards the end of 2008 the debt started rising again and has continued to rise with no signs in a change for the better. It appears the United States really could use some real Hope and Change.
