The state of Sonora is furious at the Influx of Mexicans now flowing into Mexico.
Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona’s new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico.
Many Mexican illegals are now returning to their hometowns and officials in the Sonora state government are enraged.
A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona’s new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.
They spoke at the offices of Project PPEP, a nonprofit that provides job retraining for farm workers and other programs.
At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora, Arizona’s southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns, cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here continue returning to their homeland without jobs or money.
The law, which took effect January 1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents entitling them to take jobs from American workers in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, business licenses, to start with, leading more stringent punishment.
The same lawmakers were to travel to Phoenix for a Wednesday breakfast meeting with Hispanic legislators. They want to tell them how the law will affect Mexican families on both sides of the border. “How can they pass a law like this?” asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez, who represents Nogales.
Mexican legislators even more up in arms that their citizens who return to hometowns are placing a burden on their state government.

Leticia Amparano-Gamez, representing Nogales, said, “There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona,” she stated, speaking only Spanish. “Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona quit sending money to their families when they return to Sonora without jobs,” she added. “We are one family, socially and economically,” Amparano-Gamez continued, referring to people in Sonora and Arizona.
Amparano-Gamez refused to take into account that the United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico. U.S. taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of another country especially when it’s own Government with the 2 highest numbers of billionaires on the planet refuse to create a decent social net for its own.
The United States economic recovery could be expedited by all U.S. states passage of such a law. United States’ prime import from Mexico is Poverty, Illiteracy, followed by Drugs and now Violence as Mexican kidnappers have made Phoenix the second more dangerous city on earth.
