Sexy Singer-Songwriter, Sean Jones Has Been Crooning Audiences in Canada

TORONTO, ONTARIO (Sasha Stoltz Publicity): It has been a busy summer for Sean Jones. The sexy singer-songwriter has been crooning audiences in Canada with his acoustic and smooth lyrics of rock, pop, and R&B. Most recently, he was at the Mississauga Civic Centre last Friday evening. Just finishing his tour, Sean is still on the move — playing weekend festivals all around, while anxious to get back into the studio.

“I’ve been writing out some new songs” he states. “I spend a week with my guitar. The direction is towards rock. The energy has been up. I’m excited about the future.”

When listening to the song “Highway Enough” from his debut album This Is Love, you get the feeling that Sean is channeling Lenny Kravitz, with whom he wish to duet with someday. “I was inspired by Lenny. This song popped into my head” he said when writing it. “I’m not that rock guy, but I do still have some rock elements within me.”

And those rock elements will be featured more on Sean’s first full-length album, which if all goes well next month — with the meeting in New York as well as talking with WIDEawake Entertainment Group — he anticipates returning to the recording studio in October. Though he has “a lot of material”, Sean continues to look for something new, such as the song he has written called “Go”, which may be the working title of his new album, which he predicts is coming out in 2010.

“It always feels like a journey from the first EP to my evolution as an artist” he continues. “The lyrics speak very, very well. There aren’t any sad goodbyes. You’re feeling very comfortable.”

Whereas This is Love is mid-tempo, this new album is going to be up-tempo. “It’s going in many different elements” Sean goes on. “We were talking love and romance in the first album, but there are some edgier songs. There are some sexy songs, lustful songs. I got some sass numbers that will make people move, make people dance.”

You can check out Sean’s music at his official website or at his MySpace page.
