Wow, it seems like everybody online these days is freaking out over the “BBBLT Sandwich!”
With all this overly hyperactive, insanely frenetic “buzz / hubbub” now taking place on the internet, with all the crazy, comical photos of the overly gigantic, extreme sized, jaw breaking “novelty” bacon sandwiches created by bacon enthusiasts hoping to earn their “Andy Warholian” 15 minutes of fame, we at BaconFreak.com would like to offer you something a little more serious and “REAL!”
Introducing our own special and unique take the world wide web famous BBBLT that we simply call the “Boss Hog BBBLT!”
It’s not hard to make but is absolutely deliciously brilliant in it’s simplicity.
Here’s how you make it.
Cook up 4 pieces each of the following three gourmet bacons: Bourbon Street – Cajun Style Hickory Smoked Country Bacon / Coastal Caliente – Smoked Jalapeno Bacon /
Rocco’s Private Reserve Sun Dried Tomato Bacon.
I prefer avoiding all the additional mess by simply baking the bacon in the oven at #50 degrees for around 10 minutes per side, or a little shorter than that if you prefer your bacon less crispy!
OK, after that it’s real mayo liberally spread on both pieces of 12 grain wheat bread or sourdough French bread. A couple of dashes of black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Trader Joe’s “21 Seasoning Salute!”
Now toss on some Romain Lettuce and some thickly sliced red tomato and top that off with a slice each of cheddar, swiss and jack cheese!
Eat with a couple of dill pickles, a pile of your favorite corn chips and the beverage of your choice.
