Go Now: What’s on TV Tonight?

Hello, this is Garrett Godwin, and it is time to Go Now. This is where to get the latest in the world of entertainment:

  • The premiere date for Law & Order: Criminal Intent has been pushed back once again. Originally scheduled for this month, the show will begin its eighth season in this spring. Jeff Goldblum joins the cast as Det. Wheeler’s new partner Zach Nichols. He’ll replacing Chris Noth, who exited CI last season as Det. Mike Logan after three years. Goldblum’s no stranger to being a small screen detective; he starred with Ben Vereen in the acclaimed but short-lived 1980 show Tenspeed and Brown Shoe, and recently in the NBC 2007 short-lived series Raines.
  • And speaking of Det. Wheeler, her real-life counterpart Julianne Nicholson and husband, British actor Jonathan Cake, are expecting another child, confirmed from Celebrity Baby Blog. The couple, married since 2004, has a 15-month son Ignatius, who was born in September 2007. They recently worked together on CI, where Cake appeared in a recurring role as her onscreen fiancee. There’s word yet on whether the pregnancy will be written into the storyline for the eighth season, which premieres this spring on USA Network.
