Go Now: Friday The 13th Starring Supernatural`s Jared Padalecki

This is Garrett Godwin, and it is time to Go Now once more to the addictive world known as entertainment, and on this edition — it is Friday The 13th!

On the big screen this weekend is the remake of the 1980 classic starring Supernatural`s Jared Padalecki as a young man whose investigation into his sister`s disapperance leads him into the notorious Crystal Lake, where he comes face-to-face with Jason. Unlike the 1980 version, this one will introduce the hockey-wearing, machete-wielding, unstoppable killer. Whereas, his mother was the original killer in the first. Friday The 13th 2009 is in theatres now.

Available on DVD is season two of Friday The 13th: The Series, featuring all 25 episodes of the cult horror-fantasy favorite, which aired in syndication from 1987-90. Season two continues to follow cousins Ryan (John D. LeMay, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday) and Micki (Louise Robey), as they, family friend, Jack Marshak (Chris Wiggins), and Johnny Ventura (Steve Monarque) seek out antiques from their store cursed with evil and in possession with people who may or may not be aware of the evil it comes with the antiques. It is up to the group to get the antiques back and save the world before more innocent people die. Season two is now on DVD; also available is season one. Also, catch Friday The 13th: The Series on the cable Chiller network, so check your local listings.

And, on a happy note, I want to wish my older sister, Trina, Happy Birthday today– and many more to come!

However, that is all the time we have here, so thanks for joining me. And don`t forget to check out the latest buzz right here on the SOP.
