Go Now: Daytime Emmys Noms for Outstanding Younger Actor

Hello, this is Garrett Godwin, and it is time to Go Now — right here at Newsblaze. On this special edition, I’m here to give you the nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor for the 35th Annual Daytime Awards.

Are you ready?

Here are The Nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Daytime Drama:

Van Helsis (Luke, As The World Turns)

Jessie Lee Sofer (Will, ATWT)

Darin Brooks (Max, Days of Our Lives)

Bryon McClure (Devon, The Young & The Restless)

Tom Pelphery (Jonathan, Guiding Light)

Predictions: Brooks is getting his own storyline on Days based on the Oscar-winning film Good Will Hunting. However, Helsis may be the favorite, as his character falls in love for the first time, leading to the next same-sex supercouple since probably All My Children‘s Bianca and Maggie (BAM)

Snubs: Though the mob is taking over General Hospital, it doesn’t hurt the perennial soap have talented young actors that should be nominated. For instance, you have Bradford Anderson, who plays the wacky yet lovable cyber-genius/budding sleuth and Brandon Barash as new mob boss Johnny Zacharra. Both of them bring edginess, intensity, humor, and irrepressible energy in a show now known for glorifying violence and “heroic” mobsters.

Well, that is all the time we have here today. But don’t forget that the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is at the Kodak Theatre. It will be broadcast (except on the West Coast) live next Friday at 8pm on ABC. Tickets are on sale now.
