Catherine Hickland and Fiona Hutchison Return to ‘One Life to Live’

Catherine Hickland has tweeted to her fans that she is coming back to One Life to Live as seductive, scheming art gallery owner/cougar Lindsay Rappaport, a role she has been played on and off since 1998. When we last saw Lindsay, she was still in Statesville for the murder of evil doctor Spencer Truman: becoming somewhat of a “Dr. Phil” to former beau Bo Buchanan (Robert S. Woods) on whether or not he should tell Nora (Hillary B. Smith), his ex-wife and Lindsay’s longtime nemesis, that he loves her, or let her marry his brother Clint (Jerry verDorn) back in 2009, but we all know who is Nora’s true love in the end, don’t we?

Since OLTL, Catherine has been the best-selling author of The 30-Day Heartbreak Cure, and continues to travel throughout America helping people as a stage hypnotist. Like Susan Lucci and soap opera fans, she has been outspoken and critical over ABC Daytime President Brian Frons’ decision to canceled both OLTL and All My Children (AMC), which recently ended its 41-year network run last month. Catherine is expecting to start shooting sometime next week; more on Catherine, her book, and her shows can be found on her official website.

However, Lindsay Rappaport isn’t the only good bad girl returning to Llanview, as Fiona Hutchison will return for at least two episodes as Gabrielle Medina. The actress has originated the role since 1987, and portrayed the character on and off until her death in 2004 when Gabrielle became a victim of the Music Box Killer. Hutchison starts shooting her first episode this Tuesday, and the second on November 15, but it hasn’t been revealed on how the writers are going to bring Gabrielle back.

Airdates on Catherine’s and Fiona’s episodes have yet to be announced; OLTL ends its run on ABC in January 2012.
