Chosen to be featured in a very special think-tank by the top industry camera company Canon USA, the Dream Team Directors, Daniel Lir and Bayou Bennett’s talk titled “A Filmmakers Journey from DSLR to Cinema Camera Line,” followed The Dream Team Director’s work; past to present.

From The Dream Team Directors’ first award-winning video for Adidas, titled “Pick up the Ball Son,” which won the Digital Creators Award, as well as the Ryuichi Sakamoto award (Oscar-winning composer of “The Revenant” and “Babel”), to their latest social change music video for internet sensation Lindsey Stirling (with 10 million YouTube subscribers), the Dream Team proved their heavyweight power in the industry, packing invaluable advice in to their highly commended lecture.

Hosted by Amy Kawadler; Canon’s dynamic Marketing and Events Director, the exciting discussion at the Canon Leaning Center in Burbank, California, was a fascinating reflection upon the history of the transition from motion picture film to digital filmmaking. Thanks to Canon’s technological advancements, the Dream Team Directors informatively discussed how independent filmmakers can now stop going in to debt, and instead, simply realize their creative dreams.

Directors Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir showed how the DSLR (Canon 5D and 7D) camera revolution greatly changed the film industry. With their historical, modern, and educational conversation, the directors compellingly conveyed just how this change influenced and aided in their own creative innovations over the years, throughout their growing success as entertainment industry leaders.

With a burning desire to give back and educate others with their public speaking, Dream Team Directors Bayou Bennett and Daniel Lir have been thankful to speak across the country at prestigious schools and organizations including; The Art Center College of Design, Parsons New School, Musicians Institute, New York Institute of Technology, San Fransisco Art Academy, and HollyShorts Film Festival, among more.

Continuing with their push to educate and inspire, the couple have recently started sharing with the world their new educational digital series they create and host, titled; “The Dream State.” The show aims to help artists, filmmakers, musicians, actors and fashion designers reach their creative dreams through understanding success, and how to strategically get there. In their show, Bayou and Daniel have interviewed many including; top street artist Chaz Bojourquez, actor Jason Dohring “Veronica Mars,” “I Zombie,” Megan Holiday (DJ at world famous KROQ), 5 X Grammy Award Winner Devine Evans (Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga), Filmmaker Alfredo De Villa (“Washington Heights,” “Nothing Like the Holidays”) and celebrity impressionist Jim Meskimen.
