The Scorpion Strikes

The Scorpions Strike, the sequel to the Green Stone of Healing and The Vision and Fallout, continues to follow the story of heroine Helen Andros, who is a “formidable protagonist”, said Kirkus Discoveries.

“The Scorpions Strikes”, comments evalu8.org managing director Anne Garber, “is fast-paced, action-packed, and full of surprises. Just when you think you have figured out where these events might be heading, everything is thrown out of the window.”

Throughout plenty of generations with strong heroines, the Green Stone of Healing series shows what happens politics and religion clash — how the state backs for an exclusionary faith that leads to international cataclysm that destroys an island named Azgard.

“If you want an intense read, packed with sinister power seekers, grueling heartless characters”, writes Midwest Book Review‘s Shirley P. Johnson, “yet laced with mystical moments, the lure of peace, and the hope that goodness will prevail, this read is for you.”

The heroines and their jewel bring a healing, inclusive alternative to a theocracy that persecutes those who don’t like or have the same religious beliefs of those in power.

Author C.L. Tamridge calls the series “a blue-state version of ‘end-of-the-world’ fiction without a traditional religious viewpoint. Instead, it examines alternative spiritual themes and offers a different interpretation of free will and good and evil.”

The Scorpion Strikes debuts on paperback and e-book today.
