Have you ever bought one of those ‘how to’ books that you are so excited to read, that your brain goes in to overdrive reading and eating up every word and idea in it as fast as you can, ready to apply it? Well get ready, because this is just that type of book.
‘If You’re Not First, You’re Last,’ Sales Strategies to Dominate Your Market and Beat Your Competition, is a great title, and says it all, but this book is actually much more than that. This book could also be called, ‘The Mental Secrets to Success in Business,’ or, ‘The Book That’s Worth Millions,’ or, ‘Secrets of the 100 Million Dollar Man – Revealed.’ You see, the author here- Grant Cardone – who is in fact that man, talks to you here in the form of words in this book as if he actually wants you to learn what he learned, repeat it, and succeed with it. It’s actually as if he wants that- because he does.
Now, if you want to be a rocket scientist, you should want to read a lot of books on being a rocket scientist, and find and watch some rocket scientists. If you want to be a politician, you should want to read a lot of books on history and politics, and watch politicians. And if you want to make a ton of money, and succeed in your area of business, then you should read books on how to make a ton of money, and get advice from people who have made a ton of money. Grant Cardone has made a ton of money, and he created this book, not because he needs another million, or even another book on the New York Times best seller list which he’s got (this very book did just that), but because he wants to spread some of the love around. And that love is the knowledge of how to be in power over your own economy.
Now, I’ll admit I haven’t been in to Barnes and Noble recently (who just declared bankruptcy by the way…I guess they should have read this book), but when I was in there, every ‘how to get rich’ book there (most of which I have read) did not have a fraction of the value this book has.
One line alone in this book is worth this books’ weight in gold, which I share with you here that Grant Cardone states, he says, “Do not wait until tomorrow. Build the habit of doing everything you can now, to establish a discipline of taking massive action.” As procrastination is one of the biggest reasons people fail, this can not be heard and practiced enough.
So, what are you waiting for? Will you wait to find this book in the bargain bin at Wall Mart? Don’t bother. If you won’t invest the 25 bucks in getting this now, then you probably won’t invest in your future either. But if you have read this far, then I know you will.
