Donna M. Kshir is a child rights activist who is passionately working towards establishing a public child abuse registry in Pennsylvania. In addition to her activism, she is an accomplished author, publisher, podcaster, educator, and columnist, having been featured in over 50 publications. Donna’s mission is to seek truth and justice for children who have been exposed to abuse, and she is vocal in her writings and speeches against these injustices. On September 4, 2024, Donna met with Lee Cougardawn Roberts, PA State Rep. Aaron Bernstine, and Laurie Ann Smith to discuss her proposal for the public child abuse registry. Rep. Bernstine expressed his enthusiasm for the idea, stating, "Yep. Absolutely, and I thank you once again for bringing it to our attention and allowing us to do the honor of picking up this mantle... to address these issues that will ultimately have a positive effect on so many kids and parents across this Commonwealth, that is imperative." Donna has been instrumental in advocating for Conner's Law in Kentucky and co-founded Advocates United for Humanity, a child abuse awareness and prevention nonprofit organization based in Pennsylvania. She hosts several podcasts; her most recent is called The Women Like Me Podcast with Laurie Ann Smith. The two have been best friends and advocates since 2007. On June 8, 2025, Donna announced her upcoming series of True Crime books under the pen name Ava Mae Reece. Through this series she collaborated with Laurie Ann Smith who writes under the pen name Abigail Emmet. Together, they have a media company called Ava Abigail. Additionally, she honors her late maternal grandmother by using the pen name Gladys Caroline, creating art and photography. For the children in her faith-based classroom, Donna hosts a podcast called The After-School Kids Podcast under the pen name Miss Donna, aiming to inspire and educate young minds. Donna has landed on Amazon's bestseller list 25x in multiple categories.
