Fraudulent Democrat
This story went virtually unreported in most of the liberal media. Clinton super-delegate, member of Hillary Clinton’s Florida Leadership Council, and former Democratic Congresswoman Corrine Brown was found guilty of 18 charges involving a fraudulent charity that was never registered as a nonprofit on May 11th.
Why is it an important story? Brown’s actions are indicative of the Democratic Party itself. It has become the norm for the party establishment to line their own pockets at the voter’s expense. Brown lost her re-election bid in 2016 after twelve years in Congress.
Her fake charity, One Door for Education, provided Brown with a lavish lifestyle spending more than $1,400 dollars more a month than her reported income of $175,000. An FBI agent testified during the case that she also borrowed Florida Democratic Party Chair Stephen Bittel’s private jet to go to an NFL game.
The belligerent Brown had the audacity to try to maintain plausible deniability by placing all of the blame on her chief of staff. Her behavior is hardly an anomaly among Democrats. Their insistence on preserving the status quo outmaneuvers any action to purge corruption from their rank and file members.
This is nothing new.
Other Corrupt Democrats
Former Congressman Chaka Fattah was a member of Congress for 22 years before being convicted in June, 2016 on 22 counts of corruption. There is Sen. Bob Menendez who has exhausted his appeals process. He faces trial later this year for bribery and corruption.
Add to that Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy. They have all been the subject of recent criminal and ethics investigations for their conduct in office as well.
Who can forget disgraced former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz? She blatantly violated the DNC’s charter in favor of her buddy to eliminate Bernie Sanders as a threat to Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries. After resigning in disgrace, Hillary picked her up for her campaign.
Dirty Deeds At The Top
It didn’t end there. Former DNC Vice Chair and DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile was forgiven by the DNC for providing Clinton questions before her debates with Donald Trump. CNN fired her for that.
The party that accuses the new president of everything under the sun with their media allies cannot even get their own party under control with its own illegal conduct. Their own anointed presidential candidate was being investigated by the FBI and actively undermined her opponent, Bernie Sanders, who could have easily been the victor over her.
Democrats Suck Up To Moneyed Interests
This is the party with an obsession for wealthy and corporate donors and disinterest in working and middle class Americans. They perpetuate an environment that will further graft, corruption and dirty politics. Instead of tending to their own lack of message, they scream unfairness that their candidate was lousy to begin with.
It is past time for the Democrats to take a hard look in the mirror. Their own divisiveness and so-called resistance to anything the new president does or says is a reflection of their own inadequacies stemming from the rottenness they sow.
