World Renowned Publicist Michael Levine Sells P.R. Firm for 1 Million Dollars

By

On the occasion of their 30th anniversary as one of Hollywood's most prominent and well-respected public relations firms, LCO-Levine Communications Office (www.LCOonline.com) has announced today that the firm has been purchased by David T. Fagan, CEO of Icon Builder Media (www.iconbuildermedia.com), reports The Hollywood Sentinel. As part of the purchase, LCO founder Michael Levine has agreed to stay on indefinitely as a consultant to the firm. The firm will remain LCO-Levine Communications Office.

Building The Foundation

LCO was founded in 1983 by Michael Levine. Mr. Levine went on to become one of Hollywood's most prominent P.R. figures, representing a record-setting 58 Academy Award winners, 34 Grammy Award winners, and 41 New York Times best-sellers. Additionally, Mr. Levine has written 19 books on communications, branding and public relations including the best-selling P.R. book of all-time, Guerrilla P.R. (Harper/Collins). Mr. Levine is also a frequent guest on many media outlets including NBC's The Today Show and ABC's Good Morning America amongst others discussing the intersection of celebrities and the media.

"I love LCO with all my heart and know that its best days lay ahead," said Michael Levine. As for the sale of the company he founded in 1983, Mr. Levine described his feelings as "a bit surreal. I feel like a poor man's David Geffen after he sold his record company." The Hollywood Sentinel reports that the deal is reportedly worth over 1 million dollars, according to 'The Los Angeles Business Journal.'

David T. Fagan, Guerilla Marketer

David T. Fagan is best known as the former CEO of Guerrilla Marketing, Jay Conrad Levinson's organization, but he has also made a name for himself over the past five years successfully consulting companies in the areas of business development, marketing and sales. One example is the role he played for Inc. 500 company Infusionsoft wherein the company went from roughly 7 million to 14 million dollars in gross revenue from 2008-2009.

David Fagan, the recipient of multiple marketing awards, has an impressive list of testimonials and has been celebrated for his role in growing companies in a tough economy including his flagship company, Icon Builder Media.

"Icon Builder Media is quite effective at making people icons in their respective industries through various marketing strategies," said Mr. Fagan. "To now add PR services from LCO with a 30 year track record of success, is a dream come true."

Cracking The Icon Code

The acquisition of LCO is timed perfectly with the new release of David's latest book Cracking the Icon Code due out March 27th.
