Three suspects were taken into custody after an armed robbery near the intersection of Willard Drive and Prairie City Road.

Folsom Police received a 911 call on September 9th, 2008 approximately 10:09 P.M. from a Folsom resident who reported that he and two friends had been walking down the street when a black sport utility vehicle pulled alongside. The occupants spoke briefly with the victims before the passenger in the front seat of the S.U.V. pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victims, demanding their wallets.

Officers conducted a high risk vehicle stop in the area of Folsom-Auburn Road Hillswood Drive and the suspects were taken into custody without incident. A black Air Soft replica of a 9mm pistol was found in the car.

Arrested for Robbery, Conspiracy, and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony were Joshua Steven Locke, 19, and Heather Michelle Bell, 20. Folsom Police have responded to three robberies within the last week, all of which have resulted in arrests. "Our ability to quickly respond to crimes in progress is a direct result of the City's ongoing commitment to public safety," said Captain Larry Saunders, Commander of the Operations Division. "We constantly strive to ensure that Folsom continues to be one of the safest communities in the region."
