Crossfire War - Washington - London - Canberra Watch - Persian Gulf Theatre: Russian Intelligence Reports US Strike on Iran in Early April - Operation Bite

Night Watch: PERSIAN GULF - I have waited to say this before (f)allout fighting begins and a number of my articles have also mentioned this since crossfirewar.com appeared in late November 2004. Nothing works as well as advertised, manufacturing is by no means perfect and that includes all the bombs, shells and missiles of any kind conventional or unconventional no matter who or what country or industrial group made them. In the late 1990s, CNN showed a stockpile of American nuclear warheads at some base somewhere out West, all of them were rusty. [RIA]

The RIA news announcement is largely a follow up to the report on crossfirewar.com just a few days ago on the U.S. Armed Forces build up near Iran's border and in the Persian Gulf, a buildup that began in December last year with the arrival of carrier battle groups. A Russian intelligence source is now stating, "Russian intelligence has information that the U.S. Armed Forces stationed in the Persian Gulf have nearly completed preparations for a missile strike against Iranian territory." The new carrier group heading for the Gulf is led by the USS John C. Stennis with a crew of 3,200, eighty fixed wing aircraft, F/A- 18 Hornet and Superhornet fighter bombers, eight support ships and four nuclear submarines. The carrier group led by the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has been in the Gulf since December.

The Vice - President of Russia's Academy of Geo-Political Sciences, Colonel - General Leonid Ivashov stated, "I have no doubt there will be an operation or rather an aggressive action against Iran." Codenamed Operation Bite. Tehran's advantage is that its forces will be operating right off their coast and Washington can expect no help from any government in the region. They all want to see the West have less influence in the affairs of West Asia (Middle East).
