A well-orchestrated attack has erupted in a popular night spot in the town of Gatumba in Burundi, 16 kilometers west of the capital, Bujumbura, on 18th of September 2011.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the United States is deeply troubled by the violence.
“We condemn this act of violence and offer our condolences to the families of the deceased and to the wounded.” -Ms. Clinton
She urged the Government of Burundi to make every effort to bring those responsible for this horrific act to justice and call upon all parties to put an end to violence and return to the process of reconciliation.
Reports say at least 36 people have been killed in the deadly attack near Burundian capital in which unidentified gunmen opened fire at a crowded bar near Bujumbura.
