Embrace Your Grace With Saving Grace

TV Guide has announced over the weekend that Saving Grace will return for its fourth and final season on TNT this spring.

The series stars Oscar winner Holly Hunter as a tough-talking, rebellious, sexually liberated Oklahoma City police detective that lives hard and regrets nothing. She has been given a shot at redemption with the help of her last-chance angel Earl, as Grace continues to tackle the toughest cases while the dealing with the toughest one of all: saving her soul.

Created by Nancy Miller, Saving Grace has been both a critical and cable favorite since its debut in the summer of 2007, earning Hunter two Emmy nominations for Lead Actress in a Drama. Though maintaining good ratings, the show’s end was announced last year by TNT — citing financial reasons, according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter, which also stated that the network wanted the show to continued, but the studio turned it down.

Season four will determine whether Grace has found the light or remains in the darkness, as Saving Grace begins airing the first two of its last nine episodes the week before returning its 10pm slot March 29 at 9pm on TNT.
