World Cup: South Korea Enjoy Easy 2-0 Win Over Greece On Day 2

The Newsblaze predictions went 3 for 3 today as the third World Cup game kicked off. South Korea were up against Greece for this one and as predicted the Greeks struggled and South Korea coasted to an easy victory.

Jungsoo opened the scoring with just seven minutes gone for Korea when he slipped in at the back post following a corner and shinned the ball into the net. Korea then ran rampant against a really poor Greek side. Chuyoung had the best chance when he raced onto a cutting pass to find himself one-on-one with the ‘keeper; his shot saved by the feet of Tzorvas.

It was much of the same in the second half and just ten minutes in star player Park Jisung wiggled his way through the Greek defense and dinked the ball beyond the ‘keeper to put the Koreans 2-0 up.

Greece did come back for a brief attacking spell with twenty minutes to go, but they lacked that cutting edge and South Korea comfortably saw this one out. A crucial three points for them as they look to beat Nigeria and Argentina (who both play later) to the Qualifying places.
