On Tuesday, Dec. 8, under the tutelage of the Contemporary Ballet Theatre Company, the Bronx’s High School For Excellence will showcase The Nutcracker Suite at “Duncan Hall.”

Artistic Director “Pepper” and her team (Ramon Thielen -Ballet, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”; Spex- Hip Hop;Glanny Pradel-Hip Hop as well as Vicky and Zoko of Lukas Ligetti Productions-African), put together an ensemble of enthusiastic students to present an exciting evening of dance. The Ballet Company’s commitment and dedication to teach underserved communities transforms into action upon the school’s stage, while the Historic Gothic-style auditorium resounds with atmosphere. Stained glass, plaster and steel, pillars and Tudor arches, organ pipes and a mural dedicated to the veterans of the First World War provide an impressive backdrop for the dancers. Principal Wade Fuller remarks, “I’m proud that our students have this opportunity to perform on stage and represent the school.”
