Rooney Double Eases Man Utd Into A 3-0 Victory Over West Ham

Manchester United saw Chelsea push away from them at the top of the league over the weekend when they lost out to Everton, but tonight they had the chance to redeem that loss when their busy schedule saw them host West Ham at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney has been on tremendous form recently much to the delight of Man Utd fans and England fans alike. Even those English fans who despise Manchester United with a vengeance have to sit back and admire his skills and admit he is a top talent (this is a World Cup year after all).

He bagged a brace of goals against AC Milan last week in the Champions League and he followed that up tonight with a headed double against West Ham. The Hammers did hold out until the final five minutes of the first half, but once that first goal flew in they looked lost.

Michael Owen came on as a substitute late on for United and he nicked the final goal of the night, ending the game 3-0 and giving himself a minor hope of making that England World Cup squad.
