Jill Emery: Intelligent, Articulate and Determined to Capture a Title

Hard Hitting Junior Welterweight Jill Emery recently signed up with manager David Selwyn. As a boxer, Jill exemplifies competitive spirit with courage and heart. A professional in and out of the ring, her amiable, straightforward, trustworthy personality does the sport honor.

A “Road Warrior” originally from Pittsburg, PA, and a graduate from Bucknell University, Jill hopes to achieve in the Pros what she accomplished in the amateurs. Her record is 8-2 with a close split decision loss to Universum’s Karolina Lukasik for the WIBF Light Middleweight title in Germany, and another split decision loss to Terri Blair for the NABF Light Welterweight title in California, which she fought despite not fully recovered from a knee injury.

Renowned Russian trainer, “Win or Die” Michael Kozlowski lays it out, “She is a 3 time U.S.A. Champion, 4 time Daily News Golden Gloves Champion, 2004 Athlete of the year, she remained an amateur in the hope there would be an Olympic boxing category for women, and she has fought the most international bouts with 3 World Cup Tournaments.”

Coaching her using the latest scientific techniques for speed and control coupled with a powerful Southpaw left, Michael believes Jill’s goal for a professional championship needs only opportunity. And that’s where her new savvy manager steps into the picture.

A dedicated and tireless Mr. Selwyn plans on getting Jill the opponents and bouts that turn a title dream into reality, “She’s got the goods and deserves a chance. She’s intelligent and articulate and great to work with. She still hasn’t fought a pro bout in New York. We’re looking for matches in the 140-147 pounds Welterweight and Junior Welterweight divisions.”
