Trump’s Call for Government Waste Reduction Comes With Seasoned Credibility

Presidential candidate Donald Trump has credibility when he says he will cut the cost of government. He is a different type of politician who really is not. He has been involved in the private sector for decades, made billions of dollars, met a massive payroll and hired thousands of Americans.

When Trump talks business, it is far different from his opponent who has never held a private sector job, never owned a small business, never met a payroll or hired one employee in her adult life. Yet throughout this public career in politics and First Lady, Hillary Clinton has accumulated with her Husband Bill, over $300 million dollars.

Now fast forward to another instance of government out of control with spending and those who abuse the system. It’s simply astounding and apparently no one in Washington is crying foul, simply because they do it too.

A prime example: President Barack Obama travelled to Florida in 2013, after his second term began and he could not seek re-election. Flying on Air Force One on the taxpayer’s dime, his destination was to play a round of golf with Tiger Woods. What was the cost of this pleasure trip for the American people? It was a mind-boggling $3.6 million, according to a new report by The Daily Caller.

They received cost figures from the Government Accountability Office that show the president and his entourage incurred a significant bill during the Feb. 15 to 18 trip three-and-a-half years ago. The trip also involved a quick visit to Chicago on Feb. 15 for a speech before Obama traveled for a mini vacation in Palm Beach, Fla. He and Woods had met before but had never played golf together.

Apparently the trip, mostly for pleasure, was justified as official business because of the Chicago speech. The Obama pleasure romp, already so familiar with his tens-of-millions of taxpayer dollars to vacation annually in Hawaii, included an eight-hour session with golf instructor Butch Harmon, 27 holes of golf and hitting balls in Harmon’s instruction studio, the Associated Press reported at the time.

This sort of government-funded nonsense is exactly what Trump, the successful businessman, is talking about. The $3.6 million tab, according to The Daily Caller, does not include the salaries of military and civilian workers who accompany the president wherever he goes. Some classified expenses were also not included in the total.

The mainstream media put this on page way-in-the-back, naturally. That’s a given these days with a liberal-slanted cast of opinion-makers, certainly not journalists. Is anybody out there just a bit fed up? What would Democrat voters say if he was a Republican president?
