Obama’s Hypocrisy

During the presidential debate at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church, both John McCain and Barack Obama were asked, what was America’s greatest moral failure? I was particularly interested in Obama’s reply. Obama said, “I think America’s greatest moral failure in my lifetime has been that we still don’t abide by that basic precept in Matthew that whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me”. I find it ironic that Obama is quoting scripture in his attempt to criticize America’s moral failures while ignoring his own failure to care for the least of his brothers.

To put things in context we need to recognize that Obama is a multi-millionaire and lives in a mansion in the exclusive Hyde Park area of Chicago. There is nothing wrong with achieving success but to blame America for not caring for the ‘least of my brothers’ while ignoring his own half brother is hypocritical.

Obama’s father, Barack Obama Sr. traveled the world leaving offspring on several continents. The senior Obama’s desire to spread the seeds of his loins has made it difficult to determine exactly how many half brothers and half sisters the junior Barack Obama has. But the most reliable count is at least five brothers and a sister.

The Italian edition of Vanity Fair has tracked down the youngest of Obama’s half brothers.

They found George Hussein Onyango Obama, living in Huruma, a slum on the outskirts of Nairobi Kenya. Huruma is a lawless area and would make the south side of Chicago look like a peaceful sanctuary. The youngest of the Obama clan lives in a 6 by 9 foot corrugated metal shack. An open sewer runs down the middle of the dirt street in front of his house but George said, “I’ve pretty much had a good life. I think I’ve lived OK.” George was embarrassed by the Vanity Fair article, but his lifestyle is a far cry from his brother’s opulent lifestyle.

Barack has met his youngest half brother a couple of times and even mentioned him in his autobiography, so it isn’t like Barack doesn’t know about his half brother. Barack parrots the passage from Mathew when he wants to embarrass the U.S. but he seems to ignore the passage when it comes to caring for his siblings. If someone like George wasn’t the intended subject of the passage in Mathew – who was? Who does Obama think should take care of the least of his brothers? Obama’s answer is someone else – namely you.

Senator Barack Obama has introduced “Global Poverty Act” (S.2433). Obama’s plan is a massive wealth redistribution scheme that will provide the U.N with .7% of the gross national product (GNP) of the United States. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has already pushed it through the House in 2007 and this theft of our treasury is waiting Senate action. If Obama is elected President of the U.S. you know that the Global Poverty Act will be high on his list of things to do. So with the help of the U.S. Treasury, Obama will satisfy the passage in Matthew and also provide assistance to the ‘least of his brothers’.

In ‘Dreams From My Father’, Obama wrote, “I took comfort in the fact that perhaps one day, when he was older, George, too, might want to know who his father had been, and who his brothers and sisters were, and that if he ever came to me I would be there for him,…”

In Obama’s acceptance speech he said, we are our brother’s keeper, but that too was more empty rhetoric. Obama promised to take care of family members during a 2006 trip to Kenya, but Vanity Fair couldn’t verify that Obama, the millionaire, has done anything for the least of his brothers or sister. Little did we know that it was his plan to have the U.S. taxpayer pay for the care of his impoverished family members.
