Nancy Pelosi Not as Lost as She Looks

Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA) is now the official Captain Smith of the Titanic. It is her thankless duty to hold in check the utter morons in the progressive movement of her party. If she fails, the 2020 presidential election will be an absolute slaughter for her minions.

She recently told The New York Times that the Democrats’ road to success in 2020 will be paved down the middle, and not the far-left lane of political ideology. I just knew there was a brain somewhere inside that woman’s head.

Nancy Pelosi – Democrat Lifeline

Pelosi may be many things, but she is a pragmatist. She is keeping a lifeline on her party as they struggle to silence the far left that appears bound and determined to repeat the days of George McGovern and Walter Mondale.

The Speaker has clammed-up on calls for Trump’s impeachment. She knows that is the iceberg sitting in front of her party. She knows impeachment is both a futile exercise and bad politics for many Democrats in competitive areas across the country. It may work in the NE corridor or wacky California, but it won’t sell any other location.

Pelosi has also remained mostly silent about support for both the Green New Deal and “Medicare-for-all.” She knows she is walking a tightrope on her leadership, which has been challenged twice. In other words, the whispers of being too old, too out of touch and too much part of the coastal elite to lead House Democrats now.

She is smart enough to hold onto the majority. Far-left lunatics want to saddle the more moderate members with controversial votes that could alienate the electorate back home.

Pelosi knows her party cannot win without bringing Trump supporters back into the fold. That will be tough enough with a roaring economy and low unemployment. Embracing far-left policies could also alienate the independent vote.

The flock of Democrats running for president better heed her advice or it could spell utter disaster in 2020. The Democrats need to hold onto the center-left and the so-called mainstream to win.
