Moving from Liar to Fraud

WASHINGTON – (NewsBlaze) – A 1969 book by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross developed an outline that many mental health professionals use today to describe how people deal with loss. That model named “the Kubler-Ross model” is known more in the common vernacular today as “the stages of grief.” Average people can describe the Defcon style levels of that scale: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

As we move into the sixth year of the Barack Obama Presidency and a new calendar year, it is likely the country will force the political establishment into a neutron jump stage on that scale. It won’t be depression to acceptance as Kubler-Ross described, but rather from liar to fraud.

The lies have been so bad from the Obama Administration that Politifact named the “if you like your plan you can keep it” promise its 2013 “Lie of the year.” The ramifications of that lie have been so huge the Washington Post noted that ads were already running against incumbent Democrat Jeanne Shaheen in New Hampshire. They opined that any Republican candidate with half functioning synapses in the head just needed to find stock footage and the wipeout of your local Democratic congressman who supported Obamacare could be at hand.

As bad as the Obamacare insurance debacle is, the canceling of millions of private health insurance plans is not going to be where the inertia stops. The reality is that Washington has concocted a “we know best” rube-goldberg system. At best, the system has no idea how many baby blankets are needed in Toledo and at worst it has ripped critical care patients away from their carefully selected world class providers and they may literally become more than terminal at the beginning of the year.

Although public opinion polls last week put approval of the healthcare law as having dropped to 35%, its lowest level since its inception in 2010, the White House shows no sign of course correction on the law. On Capitol Hill, Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid has basically said there will be no repeal or legislative fix. Any normal rational person looking at this rollout would say it can’t be recycled like the metal in a 1957 Chevrolet.

The White House may, however, try to recycle its cliches in speeches and appearances by their surrogates. Americans seem to be growing weary of this administration and congress, having gone through scandals at the IRS, abuses with the NSA listening in on phone calls, four dead Americans at Benghazi, the botched healthcare website, disastrous unemployment levels, destruction of full-time employment, Solyndra and other scams, constant money printing, nasty tricks on veterans, sacking of high-level military men and women and the debt ceiling debacle. Anything Washington has any desire to achieve these days seems not for the benefit of American citizens.

And this is where Kubler-Ross comes in.

People already know and expect Barack Obama will lie to them. They expect he will vacation more than Tyler Brule’s jetsetting lifestyle in his column in the Weekend London Financial Times. They expect he will stutter such that he needs a Teleprompter to speak to five year olds. They expect that he has no idea about the goings-on in his cabinet departments but rather total understanding of his NCAA final four brackets. They expect that he has no idea about his illegal alien relatives.

We are about to enter a new phase with our government this year in America. It will be moving up the hands on the doomsday clock closer to midnight. 2014 will be the year that Americans begin to dismiss traditional notions that what is going on in Washington is not just as a result of policy but of fraud. The questions are going to be hard and pointed from people at townhalls around the country – if president Obama and congressmen dare to turn up.

One story that will be sure to rise to the surface is Barack Obama’s own signing up for Obamacare last week. White House staffers apparently had to complete the process because Healthcare.gov couldn’t identify the President himself in government databases. The given excuse was because of his status as the commander in chief, he wasn’t listed. However, the President was unable to account for his cohabitation with his uncle during his college years. Simple things that the average person has no trouble doing.

Look for politicians to make this shift as well, one such politician who is shorting Obama’s public persona on the Kubler Ross scale is Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas. Stockman is challenging Texas Senator John Cornyn.

What is not commonly known is that last May, Stockman traveled to the St. Louis area to meet with representatives of a team from Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office at the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers convention to sit with them behind closed doors to discuss their findings about Barack Obama’s background.

The word is that Politifact may have described the activity as something at variance with the truth. 2014 will up that ante but Obama won’t be able to expect “acceptance” like Kubler Ross but the rumor says it will be a “resolve” to reexamine him as he hasn’t been examined before.
