Liberals Mourn As Trump named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year

One can envision the heavily biased Time magazine having Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton sitting for her “Person of the Year” photo months before the election. Aside from two national polls, the far-left was convinced until election night that Hillary would be the 45th president of the United States.

On Wednesday, President-elect Donald J. Trump was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year. It was an event that half of the country thought would be an impossible feat. “It’s a great honor. It means a lot,” Trump intimated to NBC’s “Today” show packed with liberal hosts and correspondents.

Trump added, “To be on the cover of Time magazine as the person of the year is a tremendous honor.” The viewers could only imagine what was going through Trump’s mind as he faced a room full of Hillary voters and a national network that openly supported her presidency.

This was a man so confident that he had predicted his own victory months before the election. In fact, he hinted he would be Time’s Person of the Year several minutes before the announcement was made. But in reality, who else could it have been? His victory in November was one of the most stunning political victories in American history.

For what it was worth, Time Managing Editor Nancy Gibbs, notoriously biased in her coverage of the Trump campaign, wrote “love him or hate him, everyone has an opinion on Trump.” Ms. Gibbs’ opinion, which has no business in a national news publication aside from the editorial page, fell on deaf ears with the Trump campaign and transition team.

Trump’s election sends shudders down the spines of editors like Gibbs. It is a fact that the national media carried utter resentment for the billionaire real estate mogul that was hardly contained in the pages or websites they represented. Now, with his inauguration January 20th, the media is scrambling for access to a new president who holds the national media in contempt.

The reshuffling of words is evident in Gibb’s obvious statement; “For those who believe this is all for the better, Trump’s victory represents a long-overdue rebuke to an entrenched and arrogant governing class.” Really Ms. Gibbs, this just landed on you?

Gibbs could have ended her opinions there, but apparently to salvage the falling circulation of far-left poor losers, she added, “For those who see it for the worse, the destruction extends to cherished norms of civility and discourse, a politics poisoned by vile streams of racism, sexism, nativism.”

Thanks Ms. Gibbs. How could America go on without your intolerant view of our next president from your perspective at a failing, once prospering, now liberal rag? The times they are a changin’ and editor Gibbs had better face that new world or start writing the last chapter of a publication that has outlived its relevance.

As a side note, “Hillary Clinton” was second on Time’s 2016 list, while “The Hackers” came in third. The photo Time shot of Hillary months ago will now be a Smithsonian favorite.
