The good news for Republicans keeps pouring in and it is largely created by the faltering Democratic Party and its own identity. If they persist in supporting so-called Democratic-Socialists, it can be almost certain defeat on a large scale this November.
The latest example of the party’s erosion is widely known candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor of New York, Cynthia Nixon. She is now a declared socialist. In such a high visibility state, the message is not good news for most of the state’s voters.
The stark fact is Democrats are the party that leans more to the far left by the day. They make themselves a threat to capitalism and economic growth. That may bring millions to the campaign coffers from the likes of Hollywood and the Northeast elite, but it is terrible news for winning elections.
Americans of all persuasions are largely sensible people. They understand that economic insanity is not what the country needs after eight years of Barack Obama’s slow-motion growth and massive federal regulation. Democrats are left with a situation that is intolerable.
Meanwhile, President Trump delights his sold-out campaign rallies with mocking terms for the “loony” Democrats. He is encouraging Americans to take a hard look at the Democrats who advocate free everything and open borders. He leaves his audiences with the notion our country is under dire threat from within, and maybe that is true.
Socialism is fast becoming mainstream in the Democratic Party. How many of the Democratic presidential candidates will join Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the joys and advantages of socialism?

If that occurs, Trump is almost guaranteed another four years as president. The 2020 election is shaping up to be a mirror image of the 1972 contest between Richard Nixon and liberal George McGovern or the 1980 rout of President Jimmy Carter by conservative Ronald Reagan.
confiscation of privately earned wealth
Voters should be aware that “Democratic Socialist” is an oxymoron. The endless expansion of the power of government, the takeover of the means of production, and the confiscation of privately earned wealth will eventually result in the elimination of democracy. That should be a frightening concept for every American in this country. It is not fashionable, it’s outright dangerous.
