Clinton Aide Huma Abedin Faces FBI Interview

When Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, Huma Abedin was considered her closest advisor and confidante.

The FBI has been investigating Clinton’s use of a private email server, which she decided to use rather than have the Department of State manage her emails.

We already know that Hillary Clinton’s personal server mixed private emails and government emails – some of them containing sensitive information. We know 147 FBI agents are investigating her emails. We also know that she classified tens of thousands of those emails as “personal” and deleted many of them.

Not only has Hillary Clinton created trouble for herself, but also her aides – including Bryan Pagliano, the state department staffer who set up the server, and Huma Abedin.

Huma Abedin had her own share of political trouble in the past few years. Her husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-NY) resigned his seat after he sent nude photos of himself to women on dating websites. She also has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and she operated inside the Department of State.

Now Abedin is to be interviewed by the FBI in the criminal investigation of Ms. Clinton’s personal email server. It is reported that Abedin is “terrified” about what might be in those emails and what that may mean for her own future.

Many of those emails have not yet been released by the State Department No doubt that makes her wait even more worrying. She claims she never read any of them.

According to a recent report in The Hill, reports that thousands of Clinton emails have been uncovered and most are from aides, including Ms. Abedin. We recently learned that until recently, not even State Department officials themselves were seeing all of Hillary’s emails. That means FOIA requests were probably not being answered fully. The FBI has since broken that problem wide open. It is not known whether that was a conspiracy to cover up the delicate political situation or if it was an oversight.

Abedin, of course, besides being worried about meeting with the FBI, is taking action to distance herself from any wrongdoing and attempting to minimize her role related to the emails. She noted that Hillary had problems trying to work out how to use a fax machine. “I think what you read in the email is a little bit of frustration that it wasn’t working and my frustration that she couldn’t figure it out or whatever it was. But the backstory here is that we very often, it wasn’t unusual that when secure faxes were coming through that we had some challenges with them coming through.”

The rats appear to be deserting the sinking ship, but the excuses we are hearing may not hold water with the FBI.
