The truth of the matter is there is no “is” in the endless investigation of the Russian government and President Donald Trump witch hunt since Election Day. The “investigation,” fueled by Democrats and their media allies, is a non-starter. There is no smoke, much less any fire.
Not one scintilla of evidence has ever been produced that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians in hacking or otherwise interfering in the U.S. election. Can it be any simpler than that for clear-thinking Americans? Even Obama’s own Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, told the highly partisan “Meet the Press” there is “no evidence” of collusion.
This is the truth while no less than two congressional inquiries and an FBI probe are still underway the last six months. Throw in dozens of anti-Trump media organizations spreading unconfirmed and anonymous leaks daily, and still nothing of any substance whatsoever.
No Evidence
The truth about this Russian conspiracy theory is clear. It is the defeated and fading Democratic Party, former Obama operatives and the liberal media fueling this so-called scandal. While conflict spreads around the world and America’s domestic problems are stalled by what can only be described as a witch hunt, the investigation to nowhere continues unheeded.
What is the truth at this time? To begin with, there is no evidence the Trump campaign worked with the Russians to defeat the now embittered Hillary Clinton. The Russians may have attempted to interfere with the U.S. election, but it took place under the eyes of the Obama administration, not Trump’s.
Russian President Vladimir Putin saw weakness in the Obama White House after he was allowed to invade Crimea with little more than a verbal protest from the U.S. government. Ironically, there was no protest about election interference from Obama until after Hillary’s humiliating defeat and the threat to his own legacy.
The “unmasking” of Americans close to Trump appeared in classified NSA and intelligence intercepts. All it provided was the strong indication that Russia’s involvement may have actually hurt Trump.
If the Russians had provided “help” to Trump, their meddling provided dubious results. The final election result shows Hillary won the popular vote by a substantial margin. She actually did better than Obama’s 2012 result in many states. What did happen was an astute Trump team knew it would be the Electoral College that would win the election.
The brilliance of his campaign produced stunning victories in Red States such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. A cocky Hillary did not even campaign in Wisconsin during the general election.
Media Acts As Propaganda Arm of Democrat Party
The result brought a wounded liberal media to the forefront. They brutalized Trump. Yet the truth is, Hillary’s campaign raised $1.2 billion. They outspent Trump by more than $600 million dollars. Yet the Democrats protested the legitimacy of Trump’s victory. They called for impeachment before the man spent one day in the Oval Office.
Today these federal investigations have ballooned into an all-out assault of Trump’s administration. Where one investigation ends with no evidence, another is planted. No collusion was found. That produced unrelated claims after the election.
Examples include Gen. Michael Flynn who is said to have received payments from Turkey that he did not disclose. Trump’s son-in-law had several business contacts with Russians after the election, which by itself is not improper. The FBI is said to be looking at Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort for his dealings in the Ukraine well before Trump ran for office.
It is an endless attempt to obstruct the Trump administration with no end in sight. There is zero evidence that President Trump or the White House sought to obstruct justice or close down any Congressional or federal investigation, period. In fact, the president is actually cooperating with these probes.
The Comey Firing
Yet the obstructionists that include the bitter Democrats and the cooperating media found another shiny object to distract the American people. Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, which was his prerogative. Trump did not obstruct justice as he was accused of. The truth is Comey did not tell Congress Trump had obstructed justice. He did admit to Congress he leaked memos of his conversation with Trump to The New York Times.
That in itself is a serious breach of presidential executive privilege and ethics. Where is the media crying foul over that? The answer is too obvious. It is not within the talking points of most media outlets or the talking heads of the Democratic Party. The president is the victim of Obama operatives still in the government of highly-classified conversations with world leaders.
The question sane Americans should be asking is what would the biased media be writing or saying if this was the Obama administration under fire? The answer is more than obvious.
Stacking The Deck Against Donald Trump
Meanwhile, Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s probe grows by the day. He has recruited new heavyweight prosecutors to join his team. Little effort is made by the hateful Trump media to show Mueller is a close personal friend of fired FBI Director James Comey.
Is the deck stacked against Trump in this latest twist of an endless probe? Let the American people decide. Mueller added Elizabeth Prelogar, a Harvard law grad who clerked for Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan and is fluent in Russian.
The investigation without end continues to seek out areas to justify its existence and to breathe unending life into one dead end after another. As the country grows tired of the partisan media and unending accusations of the Democratic leadership and its surrogates, five special House elections have been held and not a single Democrat has been elected.
Are the American people beginning to speak up? Will this collusion between the media and the Democratic Party end blowing up in their faces in next year’s midterm elections? All indicators show the country has seen enough of the Trump witch hunt and want to get down to the business of running the country.
