Mentally Challenged Entrepreneur Proves “Crazy Don’t Mean Stupid”

Being diagnosed with a mental illness can be a devastating and crippling turning point in anyone’s life. But overcoming that illness and successfully rejoining society as a productive citizen can seem like mission impossible.

This is the story of a 39-year-old entrepreneur named King Nazir Muhammad, who was diagnosed with a rare chronic mental illness called Schizoaffective Disorder. After years of therapy to treat this disorder, Muhammad is now on the road to rejoining society as an advocate for the mentally disabled.

The restrictions of his small disability income have not discouraged his pursuit of becoming a successful entrepreneur. Muhammad saw alternatives to “hard to get” grants and business start up loans in the many free online opportunities available to entrepreneurs.

In crafting what is now a growing online church, Muhammad utilized the free website builder www.weebly.com as a base for his online endeavor. Then, as any business needs products to offer consumers, Muhammad wrote and published several books through Amazon.com / Kindle Direct Publishing. – most notably – The Lesbian Bible : Man’s Version. [ Book ]

crazy dont mean stupid

Many of his books are advertised online using www.youtube.com as another free way to expand his online presence. Along with artwork available through www.deviantart.com, Muhammad has also recorded his first techno pop track which is available for listening on www.soundcloud.com.

The business that Muhammad created using free outlets is truly amazing and is a shining example to millions of disabled Americans as to the avenues available to them – if they wish to become an entrepreneur.

Muhammad’s story is a story of hope to the many disabled Americans, “mentally disabled” in particular. Especially those living with bullying and taunting from peers because of the misrepresentation of what it means to be mentally ill.

Muhammad’s work gives a powerful voice to the seemingly voiceless – sending a direct message across the nation – to those who prey on the mentally ill. And that message is short and simple, but very powerful, and that message is – Crazy Don’t Mean Stupid ! ! !
