Medical Support Director Continues His Service With Soldiers’ Angels

.” .. no wish too great or too small…”

Col. James Riley (ret.) Soldiers’ Angels

Col. James Riley (ret.) is Director, Medical Support for Soldiers’ Angels and also a Board member.

A 28 year veteran of the Medical Service Corps, Col. Riley first encountered Patti Bader when he was still on active duty, working at Brooke Army medical Center. He joined Soldiers’ Angels when he retired from the military.

He takes us through the workings of the Medical Support Team’s work. Not limited to Iraq and Afghanistan, Soldiers’ Angels medical support team is run very much like the military itself. From the medical corpsman treating the wounded, to the Command Support Hospitals, to Landstuhl, to Walter Reed or Brooke in the US; Soldiers’ Angels supports our troops and their families.

Col. Riley gives insights to the level of support given: .” ..a continuum of care to the wounded and their family. Everything you can think of…”

Bob Calvert, host of the Talking With Heroes radio show, conducted a video interview with Colonel Riley at the Soldiers’ Angels Executive Leadership Conference, in Pasadena, California. There, 150 Soldiers’ Angels and their supporters flew in, many meeting for the first time, after working together for years over the telephone and internet.

Jeff and Patti Bader are co-founders of Soldiers’ Angels.
