Sunscreen can Kill – sunscreen helps destroy vitamin-D

This is the time of year when various societies are spending donated money flooding the airways and the web with information about the dangers of sun exposure and warning people to always use sunscreen.

OK in principle, but the information they are spreading is only half right, sort of like reading the first half of Lord of the Flies and thinking it would be fun to be stranded on an island with other kids.

Unfortunately the news people who keep perpetrating the semi-myth of sunscreen protection are not scientifically literate, nor are most of the people in various anti-cancer societies who are pushing the idea.

One of the problems is that they (and many researchers) don’t know that there is more than one kind of vitamin D and only one form, vitamin – D3, is actually effective in fighting cancer.

That is the reason why no one took vitamin D seriously as a cancer treatment after years of anecdotal evidence, all the research was done on the wrong kind of vitamin D.

While most sunscreens do a great job of blocking ultraviolet B radiation (UVB), that is actually the frequency of light which the body uses to CREATE vitamin D – the form of the vitamin which has been shown to be s powerful skin cancer fighter.

What most sunscreens don’t do is block UVA (Ultra Violet A) radiation which just happens to destroy vitamin D.

So if you use sunscreen you may actually promote skin cancer because you are blocking the production of the vitamin which fights cancer.

Some more recent sunscreen formulas have been developed which do block both UVA and UVB.

If you want the story in 30-seconds, here it is.

Vitamin D 3 (not just plain Vitamin D) is a powerful cancer fighter and just a few years ago it was the ONLY treatment for those with malignant melanoma after surgery.

MM is THE most dangerous kind of skin cancer and overall is one of cancers with the highest mortality rate. Until very recently there wasn’t even any chemotherapy which did more than extend a patient’s life by more than a month.

I had the big C which is why I studied the cancer research which I put in my short book.

Journal of the National Cancer Institute, 2005 reported

“In a follow-up study of more than 500 melanoma patients who participated in a U.S. case-control study in the 1990s, Berwick et al. noted that subsequent mortality from melanoma was approximately one-half as high [in those with high levels of D3 in their bloodstream].

For the medical details on this and other reports check out my book, “Does Vitamin D-3 Cure Malignant Melanoma?”

You’ll also find:

“A Melanoma Hypothesis: The Paradox of Outdoor and Indoor Solar UV Exposures”

STATES:

“Skin cells can convert vitamin D-3 to the hormone, 1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, or calcitriol, which causes growth inhibition and apoptotic cell death of melanoma cells in vitro and in vivo.” (That means both in the laboratory and in living animals.)

In other words, D-3 helps prevent and stop the spread of cancer.
