Love … Why are We Addicted?

It’s a feeling, that, I am sure, you and many others have felt before and some haven’t experienced it yet. People who have love in their lives and are loved by others are very lucky ones.

We spend a fortune on everything from love movies to love poems and stories that only exist in fantasy but we never really invest time and energy keeping our beloved near to us.

The reason why many of us are miserable is because we expect that the love we receive from family and people who were there from the beginning of our existence to always love us in the same way as they always have done, while we grow older and start acting more selfishly with time…

Love isn’t just about attraction between two human beings but about having unconditional love and care for the ones that once loved us with all their heart.

It is like everything here in our world, we have to invest and spend energy in order to maintain and make it work. I remember a couple of years ago when I watched the movie Moulin Rouge, one of my favorite quotes is “love.. Is like breathing. Nobody can live without love!”

We watch these movies but often, we never truly grasp their meaning. Look at our world now and what we putting our media focus on… People like for example the Kardashians, that in my opinion, are a group of people that will do anything for living a fake life, that unfortunately many of us admire and even dream of becoming like them. It is such a shame to see where our world is heading toward.

I feel that I am a fortunate person, enlightened enough to know that what we need to focus on is the unconditional love that we have for the ones that truly love us for being only us. Because someday, when we die, the only thing that we will take with us is the love and the memories we share with our beloved.
