Inside the Mind of ADHD

The Originator of Alternative Approaches to ADD/HD, Dr. Kevin Ross Emery is going to be in the San Antonio area on July 22, 23, 24 to offer further insight to this disorder and explain how the misconception of people in society is that everything can be cured with a prescription.

We live in a world that is predicated off of the quick fix or vague diagnosis. The grim reality is that far too often individuals with A.D.D. get left behind or signaled out as an inconvenience or a problem. This theory is relative to the everyday school student, as well as the well traveled celebrity.

The feeling is that it’s very encouraging to see so many familiar talented and successful people who have struggled with this “gift” and come through with flying colors. If you think about it in terms of a childhood hero, fighting and clawing, knowing that you can do the impossible because “Superman” was able to succeed.

One of the most important steps to overcome ADHD is too accept the reality, a reality that becomes more attainable with each and every famous personality that steps into the world of acceptance. On the contrary, A.D.D. is instead a gift of virtue, not a problematic variable that gets shifted from one day to another.

“Learning to accept this gift and embrace it for the sheer force that it is, can help others and the individual himself understand what it is like to be accepted.”

Dr. Kevin Ross Emery is able to elaborate on dealing with this over-medicated disease and why there are so many ADHD individuals who have flourished in everything from arts and entertainment to sports and politics. Remember, a diagnosis of ADHD, no matter what age, is a gift that keeps on giving!
