How to Attain a Restful Night of Sleep

Many people have problems sleeping. Today I want to discuss sleep and ways to attain a restful night of sleep.

Loss of sleep or interrupted sleep can cause many problems. Such as:

  • Depressed immune function
  • Inability to concentrate
  • Irritability
  • Prone to accidents

Everyone should strive to attain seven to nine hours of quality sleep per night. Some of the things you can do to improve your sleep are:

  • Begin to unwind two hours before bedtime
  • Dim your lights thirty to forty-five minutes before bedtime
  • Use your bed for two things only: rest and sleep

If you are still having problem falling asleep or staying asleep try some of these techniques:

  • Muscle Relaxation Exercise
  • Diaphragmic Breathing
  • White Noise
  • Keep a pencil & paper near your bed to write things down you are

afraid you may forget the next morning

  • Supplement with one or more of these:

    Magnesium / Melatonin/Hops / Passion Flower / Valerian Root

Please tell your friends and family about this tip so they too can benefit from a healthy lifestyle.
