Good CBD v Bad CBD: How to Choose

These days the whole nation is in the middle of a CBD craze. But some manufacturers take advantage of this euphoria and put a CBD label on almost everything.

The contemporary consumer won’t consume just anything that’s offered to them. They do their research before buying a product. That’s the stance we should take when purchasing CBD liquid and other products.

Check the Label

When shopping for CBD products, we should look for a Certificate of Analysis (COA). The COA contains all the information on the quality of the CBD.

Potency, solvents, and test results are listed on this label. The COA contains the batch number that every buyer can look up on the manufacturer’s website. Avoid products that don’t carry this label.

Hemp and Marijuana

Both hemp and marijuana are cannabis plants. The difference is in the chemical components. Marijuana contains THC, which is the compound that causes the euphoric state associated with this plant.

Hemp, on the other hand, is rich in CBD. Federal legislations limit the THC on hemp. It cannot contain more than 0.3%. Marijuana, because of the THC, can only be sold in legal dispensaries.

Make a List

Top 10s and other kinds of lists are another euphoria that’s taking over the nation. Why not combine the two trends? Keeping a CBD products list can help the consumer to navigate through a variety of options.

Ordering them from worst to best might appeal to some, but that’s not the point of such a list. The main idea is to avoid bad brands and stick to the good stuff.

Buy Local

The CBD industry is already a multimillion enterprise. Everyone wants a slice of the green cake, so no wonder that impostors appear on every corner.

This industry is still in its developing stages, meaning it requires stronger regulations. At this moment, there is no unified global law that controls the manufacturing of CBD products.

Until there is one, we should stick with local companies. We know under which laws they operate, thus have a better grasp of the quality of the product.

Get Your Money’s Worth

Despite the immense profits, the CBD industry is still young. There is a lot that the ordinary customer is not aware of, thus might buy the inferior product. Before paying for any CBD product, search for the COA on the label.

The COA contains all the relevant information regarding the production of CBD. Only shady companies don’t have this label.

When looking for CBD, look for products derived from hemp. Keep a list of all CBD products tried, to avoid those that wasnt acceptable. Stay loyal to local companies, because internationals operate under different laws and regulations.
