The Mysterious Susan Rice Comes Out Of Hiding To Appear On ‘Meet The Press’

After what can only be seen as hiding out, former U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice suddenly reappeared Sunday on one news show, the left-leaning “Meet the Press” with its sympathetic host, David Gregory. It was certainly good to hear him talk about Benghazi and Susan Rice’s part in what many still see as a cover-up, but he didn’t press her on her claims.

Immediately after the Benghazi tragedy, the White House sent her out, like a sacrificial lamb, to appear on five Sunday news shows. This time, her White House handlers must have reasoned such wide exposure could only worsen the mistrust and ill-feelings of many in Congress and the American people. So they chose one of the most sympathetic venues that has credibility – NBC’s “Meet The Press.”

Speaking to NBC’s David Gregory, she said “What I said to you that morning, and what I did every day since, was to share the best information that we had at the time.”

If she had left it at that, she might have gotten away with it, but she went on to completely overdo it and blow her cover. “The information I provided, which I explained to you, was what we had at the moment. It could change. I commented that this was based on what we knew on that morning, was provided to me and my colleagues and indeed to Congress by the intelligence community, and that’s been well validated in many different ways since.”

Well validated?

It has been well validated that there was no demonstration at all. It was a straight-out terrorist attack. There were no demonstrators and they certainly knew that, in real time.

A big question is, Why Now? Why is she coming out a year-and-a-half later, with this bold statement? Could it be to reinforce democrats and raise doubt against republicans, for the mid term elections?

They must have gone of this 100 times in the White House, to get the working the way they wanted it. She said “That information turned out in some respects not to be 100 percent correct. But the notion that somehow I or anybody else in the administration mislead the American people is patently false, and that’s been amply demonstrated.”

Give me a break! “… not 100 percent correct …”

The American people are not convinced, Ambassador. Congress is not convinced. Not at all!
