Sen. Cruz Becomes A ‘Serious Candidate’ for GOP Presidential Run

Republican presidential candidates are staring to make moves. Some have made missteps that were jumped on by media and democrats, but these conservatives are not fazed by what their opponents do.

Love him or hate him, the one thing everyone should know about Senator Ted Cruz is that he is a man of action.

A Tea Party favorite, Ted Cruz, Texas Republican Senator, has supporters who have started a new super-PAC to propel him into the ranks of the leaders. The Super-PAC website went operational on Wednesday last week. This development automatically skyrockets Cruz into the ‘serious candidate’ category for the GOP presidential nomination.

This Super-PAC now has the luxury of raising unlimited dollars, just as happened for Hillary Clinton some months ago, to help finance any possible presidential bid. A Time Magazine report this week said the Super-PAC filed organizing paperwork with the Federal Election Commission in January.

Georgia-based political consultant, Paul Kilgore, is listed as the owner of the new website and he will run Cruz’s campaign. Kilgore is a former aide to Newt Gingrich who also served as treasurer for a super-PAC supporting Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s 2012 presidential bid, Time reported.

The Republican race is now getting interesting. Last week, Grover Norquist tagged Governor Scott Walker as the ‘Most Worthy’ Republican Presidential candidate.

Cruz may have made the early move due to his runner-up finish to Sen. Rand Paul in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s straw poll this year, and a new CNN/ORC International poll released Saturday shows 16 percent of Republicans and independents who lean right say they’d support Paul for the nomination.
