It seems that those on the left side of politics have a perpetual scapegoat they recall any time anything goes wrong. The answer is always George W. Bush.
Our foreign policy is wrong – It’s Bush’s fault. The country’s broke – Its Bush’s fault. Putin sent troops to Unraine – It’s Bush’s fault. My coffee’s cold – Its Bush’s fault.
Ultra-liberal MSNBC host Rachael Maddow flatly stated that the Middle East policy of George W. Bush’s administration “has steered America’s current security policy and response to global crises, including the one in Ukraine.”
So now we know – Obama is just a figurehead and the real president is George W. Bush, and he is still writing all those Executive Orders and writing Obama’s speeches. No wonder Obama needs a teleprompter!
Is this the real reason the Obama administration continues using Bush as a scapegoat for their catastrophic foreign policy failures?
Maddow has a new documentary, that she is promoting, “Why We Did It.” It showcases her opinion of U.S. involvement before and during the Iraq War. While speaking to Hillary Clinton’s favorite journalist, Andrea Mitchell, she said “[the] Bush administration is largely responsible for the nation’s current course overseas.”
Note to Rachael Maddow – Bush left office five and a half years ago, unless he is hiding somewhere in the White House, telling Obama what to do and say.
Here is what Maddow said to a nodding Mitchell. “The decisions of our generation on national security are determined more than anything by what the George W. Bush administration did with that nine-year war in Iraq and, alongside it, a 13-year war in Afghanistan that’s still going on.”
Amazing – so George W. Bush was able to change everything that Bill Clinton’s administration had done, but Obama, in his second term, is unable to do anything other than carry out Bush’s policies.
Amazing!
Pouring gasoline on the fire and blaming Bush, Maddow said, “Those are the determinative constraints for our thinking about everything, from Crimea, to Syria, to what the overall size of the U.S. military is.”
Really? Is Maddow for real? Is MSNBC actually paying her to say this stuff? Is anyone buying this?
