Crossfire War – Iran Planning More Provocations in Persian Gulf for Bush

Crossfire War – RAPID FIRE NEWS=TEHRAN – KUWAIT – DOHA WATCH – Persian Gulf Theatre: Tehran – Riyadh – Muscat – Bahrain – Doha – Kuwait/Washington – London – Canberra – Tokyo; Intelligence Reports Iran May Have Planned Another Provocation During Bush Visit to Kuwait – Musharraf Warns US Not to Send Troops to Pakistan – Albanian Administration in Kosovo Already Falling Apart

Night Watch: TEHRAN – “The U. S. administration needs to make hue and cry to achieve its political goals and cover up the failed visit of the U. S. President to the Middle East region.” Xinhua reports that was the quote from the Deputy Commander of the naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi. Tehran and Admiral Fadavi are aware it is to their advantage to make certain President George W. Bush’s anti-Iran tour of the region continues to be a failure so I suspect there will be other provocations with Bush’s arrival in Kuwait on Friday. Tehran is causing these provocations to show Washington’s position in the region is purely defensive and in a constant state of confusion. [XINHUA]

Kuwait – Debka is reporting U. S. intelligence has information the commander of the Revolutionary Guards General Mohamed Jaafari is indeed planning more provocations that have caused the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and its escorts to be on high alert during Bush’s visit to the Persian Gulf. Other than speedboats, Iran has developed mini-subs and has been working on a living torpedo controlled by a suicide bomber propelled with a powerful engine. He jumps off before making contact. I don’t think Tehran would mind if a shooting war began during Bush’s visit since that would be an enormous embarrassment for him. Tehran could state it is responding to Washington’s aggression, as have Islamic groups that have been attacking the occupation of Iraq. [DEBKA]

The week before Bush’s visit Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was photographed with Iran’s military High Command.

Islamabad – “Any entry by the United States or coalition forces into Pakistan’s tribal areas would be resisted as a breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty. I challenge anybody coming into our mountains. They would regret that day.” That is the angry response from Pakistan President-General Pervez Musharraf during an interview with Singapore’s Strait Times newspaper Friday to the idiotic, fool statements coming from Washington on sending troops into Pakistan to secure its nuclear weapons. Washington now classifies Pakistan as an illegitimate failed, collapsed state and therefore as another target for air raids and special forces, in other words as an enemy. With its ridiculous, arrogant, one-dimensional reaction, that pass for policy, due to the assassination of an immensely corrupt political leader, Washington has now alienated its last ally in the Islamic world. It is that kind of global imagining that has led the U. S. into the trap of Iraq, Afghanistan and now South Asia. And the Pentagon wonders why its forces are stretched so thin and achieving so little, except more enemies. This panic war planning is Iran’s greatest weapon. [XINHUA]

Pristina – The Bush administration and most of the European Union (EU) are about to recognize a Kosovo Albanian administration as an independent state already on the verge of falling apart. B92 and the Albanian language paper Zeri report two parties in the Kosovo coalition government are already disputing over the new administration that is to declare independence in early February. The parties are the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo and the Democratic Party of Kosovo and their objections are based on: the atmosphere that followed the constitutive session, the two hour delay before the session finally got underway, above all the fact of the Kosovo President not being approved until the third round of voting and that certain deputies within the new party coalition voted against the proposed formation of the new government. [B92]

This circus government has no chance of functioning effectively which means the President, a former guerrilla leader, will have no choice but to declare a dictatorship and hope military support from NATO will justify him and defeat a heavily re-armed Serbia that has signed security agreements with Greece and Iran.
