Crossfire War – India Prepares ‘Hot Pursuit’ of Terrorists Inside Pakistan

Crossfire War – TEHRAN WATCH – South Asia Theatre: Tehran – Islamabad/Delhi; 59 Islamic Militant Training Camps Alongside Pakistan Regiments – Al Qaeda (Iran) Messages Intercepted – Delhi Plans “Hot Pursuit” Operations – War Begins in September

Night Watch: DELHI – Sources speaking through the leading English speaking daily Asian Age have stated 59 Islamic terrorist training camps exist alongside Pakistani regiments across the border in Pakistan controlled Kashmir. It also stated that during the past two months communication from Al Qaeda (Iran) has been intercepted proving the group is now active in the area. Earlier this month, right after the Mumbai commuter train bombings, someone from Al Qaeda called Kashmir’s Current News Service and announced Al Qaeda is now in the area and praised the bombings. The Asian Age article mentioned that not only has infiltration increased but the tactics of Islamic terror groups have changed and also their method of supply. Tourists are now being attacked whereas in the past Islamic groups used car bombs and suicide squads to attack police posts. The four main groups are: Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hizbul Mujahideen and Al Badr. A senior official of the Central Reserve Police Force said that in the last week two Afghan fighters were killed in the Jammu-Kashmir valley, the Muslim majority province that remains the main flashpoint between Islamabad/Delhi.

India Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal was quioted, “We have reports that infilitration is on the rise in Jammu-Kashmir and peace talks with Pakistan cannot go hand in hand with terrorist activities. Terrorist training camps are being run in Pakistan and their cadres in valley are being indoctrinated in jihadi theology in the valley.” The article mentioned that when the Mufti Mohhamad Sayeed government took power in Pakistan occupied Kashmir 20,000 militants were released and are now attending Islamic schools, madrassas’, where the indoctrination takes place.

In Delhi the security situation was discussed at a high-level meeting this week of chief of secretaries of the states with Cabinet Secretary B. K. Chaturvedi, Union Home Secretary V. K. Duggal and the chiefs of intelligence agencies. Division corps commanders have made their own strategies and identified the weapons they will use in case of “hot pursuit” operations across the border into Pakistan controlled territory. Delhi has long demanded Islamabad shut down the 59 Islamic militant bases and has often threatened to attack them. With the increase of infilitration this year and with militants now targeting inside India, as in the Mumbai attacks, Delhi has decided to destroy the bases and Pakistan’s ability to support them.

Delhi will do the same concerning any other country that supports Islamic militant’s raids into India including Bangladesh. As a result of Delhi’s investigation into the planning of the Mumbai attacks they discovered that operatives in bases inside Bangladesh were also involved in the planning of the attacks.

Islamabad has stated all along that if Delhi ever attacks inside Pakistan, for whatever reason, they will be forced to respond. They will not be responding by themselves since Tehran has been forming security agreements with Islamabad the same way they have done with Damascus. The best time for war on the sub-continent is September with the end of the monsoon.
