The Balkans urgently needs a new Yalta Conference to resolve territorial disputes.
It is needed because Serbian President Aleksander Vucic, Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi and Albanaian Prime minister Edi Rama aren’t the right kind of political or diplomatic cadres to resolve territorial disputes between their countries. They can’t do it without the strong support of the European and the world political and diplomatic famous personalities. Personalities such as former United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Winston Churchill and Soviet Union Premier Joseph Stalin who met at the Yalta Conference (in February 4-11 of 1945) who reached important agreements on Europe’s postwar reorganization.
The main purpose of Yalta was the re-establishment of the nations conquered and destroyed by Germany. Organizing the occupation of Germany was one of the top priorities. The Yalta Conference agreed to divide Germany into zones controlled by each of the three nations present. With the immense size of Stalin’s army, Russia would take Berlin and control the eastern half of Germany upon its surrender.
Great Britain suggested France as one of the occupiers. Initially, Stalin resisted but eventually accepted this idea. Poland was given back its independence and given its own national election in order to create a new, independent government. Yugoslavia was given its own government as well which consisted of mostly old members under a new system. In both cases, Nazi and Fascist leaders were specifically prohibited.
What does a new conference of Yalta of 1945 mean for the Balkans as a part of Southeastern Europe today?
In the center of that international conference in Crimea there was a main question of restoring old and creating new state borders in liberated Europe. Her decisions required serious concessions by all participating countries, as it was essentially about creating a territorial control state system and balance between the East and the West.
Simply that means strictly to prevent the political and diplomatical efforts on “correction of current borders” between Serbia and Kosova by Serbian president Alexnader Vucic and Kosovo president, Hashim Thaçi. For this purpose urgently needs to be organized A New International Confernece on Balkans (like there was the international The Yalta Conference of 1945 which was the main key in the regulation of the political relations of New Europe after the end of World War II) for the redefining of artificial and adjacent border between Balkan countries.
Otherwise, the three political leaders of the Serbia (Alexander Vucic), Kosova (Hashim Thaçi) and Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama with their bluffs and circus, supposedly for correction, division or exchange of territories between Kosova and Serbia, will lead the Balkans into the abyss because these are not world-class personalities.
Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin took the important historical and political decisions for a new Europe after the victory over Hitler’s Nazi fascist Germany (1945).
At that international conference, they harmonized the principles of post-modernization of Europe. These principles and what is most important, the main lessons of Yalta are nowadays a special model to revise the Balkans’ borders because without resolving of these serious territorial disputes, Serbia, Kosova, Bosna and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania cannot be integrated into the European Union (EU).
