As you most probably know by now- the state of Arizona has just enacted tough laws on the state level to address the immigration crisis created by the lack of leadership and integrity in Washington.
As I have often noted, Immigration is not a single issue but represents a major factor in nearly every significant challenge confronting our nation today. Everything from national security and criminal justice to the economy, the environment, healthcare, education and other issues are getting slammed because of the decades long failures of our federal government to secure our nation’s borders and address the lack of integrity to the system by which aliens are provided with visas and various immigration benefits.
Meanwhile- the citizens and lawful immigrants of our nation are experiencing a steady erosion of their expectations of privacy and freedom even as our borders remain porous and our nation expands the Visa Waiver Program- most recently adding Greece- a nation whose economy is in a state of free-fall, to the other 35 countries already on that list.
Phoenix, Arizona has garnered the entirely undesirable nickname of the “Kidnap and Home Invasion Capitol of the Western Hemisphere” averaging at least a kidnapping or home invasion each and every day and most of those attributable to the drug trade and the pernicious drug cartels operating out of Mexico that have tendrils that transcend or nation’s borders and extend into cities from coast to coast and border to border in our country.
On Sunday, April 25th I have been invited to debate the legislation that was just signed by the governor of Arizona on two important news programs.
First I am scheduled to appear on the Fox Cable News Network’s Fox & Friends from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time.
Next- I am scheduled to appear on MSNBC from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM Eastern Daylight Savings Time.
The precise time of my appearance on each of these programs has not yet been determined- news programs are always in a state of flux with breaking news items often causing schedules to be juggled.
I hope that you will be watching both of these programs.
