Following a very long spell of low solar activity (sunspots) since 2004, a significant sunspot was observed in the last few days called 1024 and a member of the new Solar Cycle 24.
Spotless days are fairly common during a solar minimum (part of an 11 year sunspot cycle), but this latest cycle has provided the least activity since 1913.
As a result, people have suggested that instead of Global Warming, our planet might actually be heading towards another ice-age. The appearance of sunspot 1024 is a strong indication that a turning point has arrived and we can expect to see a solar maximum in the next few years (around the year 2012).
In an earlier article (June) I predicted that solar activity would return to a more normal pattern after another 6 months or so, and this would appear to be the case. I also suggested that temperatures would continue to increase and the recent fluctuation (small drop) was nothing more than a “break” in the proceedings.
Unfortunately, this news will probably provide new ammunition for people like Al Gore, who seem to insist that humans are causing the climatic changes. The real culprit is either our Sun or an unseen event taking place in our galaxy (or both). It is something our planet has encountered many times before and there is very little (if anything) we can do about it.
Over many millions of years Earth has experienced numerous extreme climatic changes, from ice-ages to high temperatures. On more than one occasion temperatures were so high that all the ice on the planet melted, creating sea levels that were 20 meters higher than they are today.
Some of these events in our history were clearly caused by catastrophic events like asteroids or volcanic eruptions, but a few may well have been the result of some galactic influence.
There are many people who like to predict the “End of Times” and so far they have all been wrong. The year 2012 has been a significant date for some time, but with so many incorrect predictions in the past, who is going to believe that?
However, just because everyone has been wrong so far, does not mean this will always be the case. It would be foolish to ignore any prediction (within reason) without some investigation.
For some years now I have felt that the human race is heading for its biggest ever challenge. Some may believe that this danger could come from a nuclear war and others a “Biblical” solution. Personally, I think the answer may come from within in our own galaxy.
This belief is based on scientific facts and the knowledge that it has all happened before. That does not mean that we will all face extinction, but if certain events of the past are repeated, we could be fighting for our survival. Imagine for just one moment the affect on the world’s population if the seas rose by 20 meters. How much land would remain and how many would it be able to support?
For those that think “Aliens” have some knowledge of our future (which is very possible), you may be interested to know that a Crop Circle that appeared at Silbury Hill, Wiltshire, England seemed to predict the recent sunspot (2 days before it happened).
If you think that was strange, you will certainly be amazed by the article appearing on the Colin Andrews website (which includes a photo of the crop circle). This is an extract from the story:
The latest bizarre event took place yesterday morning (7th) at approximately 5.0 AM, when a Wiltshire Police Sergeant was driving in his private car towards Marlborough on the A4 highway and about to pass Silbury Hill on his left. He looked to his right and witnessed three exceptionally tall beings inspecting the new crop circle which appeared there on the 5th July. He stopped his vehicle and watched them for several minutes because they stood out as odd. Each of them were well over six feet tall, each had blond hair and also they all were wearing one piece white suites, with hoods that had been dropped onto the back of their heads.

Oddly enough, such beings were mentioned in an alleged incident that took place February 20-21, 1954, where President Dwight Eisenhower supposedly had a secret meeting with a number of different aliens at Edwards Air force base (at that time known as Muroc Airfield).
One of those who claimed to be present at the meeting said he saw “five separate and distinct types of aircraft being studied and handled by our Air Force officials – with the assistance and permission of the Etherians!” This is one of the many subjects covered in my recent book “The Unexplained Explored”
Are UFO’s monitoring our planet and aliens taking an interest in our future? Without proof we cannot be certain, but logic suggests that we are not alone in the Universe, so anything is possible!
