Speck and Spark
If you can’t be a Spark, be a Speck,
Since both take the same wondrous trek,
They fly through space and time pursuing the sublime,
Where the infinite and finite intersect.
Now Spark was a ‘lectron that could,
Do everything a little one should,
Though he didn’t have a brain or a neuron to explain,
What to do, when to go, and where he stood.
And Speck was a particle with some mass,
But you couldn’t spot his ass with a magnifying glass,
He floated ’round in space with others he’d embrace,
To make a solid, or a liquid, or a gas.
Infinitesimal are the two, indestructible, too,
Tiny building blocks united with invisible glue,
Our universe they comprise – as observed by human eyes,
Forever they’re together in this fermenting brew.
If you rather be a Spark than a Speck,
Hang around and don’t become a nervous wreck,
To get energy from matter, you can transform the latter,
Using sophisticated nuclear high tech.
