New Kids on the Block ‘Hangin’ Tough’ on Hollywood Walk of Fame

New Kids on the Block show they still have got “The Right Stuff,” as the quintet received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday.

NKOTB was found in the 1980s by Maurice Starr, the man also responsible for creating New Edition. NKOTB had four multi-platinum albums with chart-toppers like “Hangin’ Tough,” “Please Don’t Go Girl,” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” and “Step by Step.”

Like New Edition, NKOTB paved the way for NSYNC and Backstreet Boys throughout the next decade and beyond.

While members such as Jordan Knight and Joey McInytre did well as solo artists, Donnie Wahlberg became even more successful as an actor – including his role as brash NYPD detective Danny Reagan on the popular CBS procedural drama “Blue Bloods.”
